Keytruda (pembrolizumab for injection)

Keytruda (pembrolizumab) is a monoclonal antibody used to treat patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma and disease progression following ipilimumab and, if BRAF V600 mutation positive, a BRAF inhibitor.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • itching,
  • dark urine,
  • rash,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • shortness of breath,
  • weight loss,
  • chills,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • chest pain,
  • dizziness,
  • weight gain,
  • constipation,
  • muscle aches,
  • wheezing,
  • fainting,
  • sweating,
  • stomach pain (upper right side),
  • increased urination,
  • flushing,
  • lightheadedness
  • hair loss,
  • feeling cold,
  • shaking,
  • rapid heartbeats,
  • fever, and
  • severe muscle weakness,
  • new or worse cough,
  • more frequent bowel movements than usual,
  • stools that are black or tarry,
  • severe stomach pain or tenderness,
  • bleeding or bruising easily,
  • increased thirst or hunger,
  • your voice gets deeper,
  • headaches that will not go away or unusual headaches,
  • change in the amount or color of your urine,
  • changes in your eyesight,
  • severe or persistent muscle or joint pain,
  • low red blood cells (anemia),
