Sprix (ketorolac tromethamine nasal spray)

Sprix (ketorolac tromethamine) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used in adults for short-term (up to 5 days) management of moderate to moderately severe pain that requires pain relief at the opioid level.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea
• rash
•  runny or stuffy nose
• upset stomach
• sore throat
• slow heart rate
• nasal pain or discomfort
• watery eyes
• decreased urine output
• high blood pressure
• dizziness, or
• drowsiness.

The following drugs are related to Sprix, either as a replacement or used together:

• Lofena (diclofenac potassium tablets)
• Diclostream (diclofenac sodium 1.5% solution and menthol 10% topical liquid)
