Keppra Injection (levetiracetam)

Keppra (levetiracetam) Injection is an antiseizure (antiepileptic) drug (AED) for adult patients (16 years and older) in the treatment of partial onset seizures when oral administration is temporarily not feasible. Keppra is used with other medications in adults with epilepsy.

The drug is often used to treat Epilepsy .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • headache,
  • dizziness,
  • weakness,
  • cough,
  • sore throat,
  • loss of appetite,
  • nervousness,
  • depression,
  • mood changes,
  • drowsiness,
  • runny nose,
  • anxiety,
  • infection,
  • pain,
  • double vision,
  • hostility, 
  • problems with coordination,
  • spinning sensation (vertigo),
  • amnesia,
  • numbness and tingling, and
  • sinus infection.
