Jornay PM (methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release capsules)

Jornay PM (methylphenidate hydrochloride) is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant indicated for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years and older.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- fast heartbeats,
- chest pain,
- fainting,
- agitation,
- irregular heartbeats,
- impulsive behavior,
- irritableness,
- depression,
- increased blood pressure,
- hallucinations,
- racing thoughts,
- decreased need for sleep,
- changes in behavior,
- stroke,
- heart attack,
- feeling overly happy or “high”,
- extreme restlessness,
- engaging in risky behavior,
- prolonged erection or a painful erection of the penis,
- numbness or cool feeling in fingers, toes, ears and tip of the nose, and
- color changes of the skin
