Jentadueto (linagliptin and metformin hydrochloride)

Jentadueto (linagliptin and metformin hydrochloride) is a combination of two 2 oral antihyperglycemic drugs indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both linagliptin and metformin is appropriate.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • itching,
  • vomiting,
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • fast heartbeats,
  • tiredness,
  • stomach pain,
  • dizziness,
  • weakness,
  • sore throat,
  • burning eyes,
  • skin pain,
  • red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling,
  • feeling cold,
  • severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back,
  • blisters,
  • rapid weight gain
  • unusual muscle pain,
  • slow or irregular heart rate,
  • swelling in your legs or feet, and
  • breakdown of the outer layer of skin,
  • severe or ongoing pain in your joints,
