Ixempra (ixabepilone)
type of Antineoplastics, Antimicrotubular, Antineoplastics Epothilone B Analog
Ixempra (ixabepilone) is used to treat advanced breast cancer, and is usually given after other cancer medications have been tried without successful treatment. It is a cancer (antineoplastic) medication.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- shortness of breath,
- chest pain,
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- mouth sores,
- itching,
- fever,
- chills,
- pale skin,
- tiredness,
- rash,
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- easy bruising,
- fainting,
- skin sores,
- problems with vision or speech, and
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- unusual bleeding,
- pounding heartbeats,
- fluttering in your chest,
- swelling or redness in an arm or leg
- warmth or tingly feeling,
- chest tightness or pressure,
- numbness, tingling, burning pain, discomfort, or loss of feeling anywhere in your body,
- unusual weight gain,
- pain, blisters, bleeding, or severe rash on the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet,
- cold hands and feet,
- sudden numbness or weakness,
