Myorisan (isotretinoin capsules)

Myorisan (isotretinoin capsules) is a retinoid indicated for the treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne. Nodules are inflammatory lesions with a diameter of 5 mm or greater. The nodules may become suppurative or hemorrhagic. Because of significant adverse effects associated with its use, Myorisan should be reserved for patients with severe nodular acne who are unresponsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics. Myorisan is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- rash,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- pale skin,
- confusion,
- dizziness,
- blurred vision,
- constipation,
- back pain,
- headache,
- high blood pressure,
- fainting,
- cough,
- chest pain or pressure,
- sore throat,
- painful urination,
- hoarseness,
- seizures,
- thoughts of self-harm,
- slurred speech,
- abdominal pain,
- depression,
- irritability,
- yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
- indigestion,
- loss of coordination,
- heartburn,
- sneezing,
- sensitivity to light,
- double vision,
- bleeding gums,
- nosebleeds,
- ear pain,
- red or pink urine,
- bloating,
- ringing in the ears,
- mood swings,
- slowed growth in children,
- rectal bleeding,
- difficulty speaking or swallowing,
- severe diarrhea,
- bone or joint pain,
- black or tarry stools,
- burning or stinging of the skin,
- unusual bleeding or bruising,
- burning, redness, itching, or other signs of eye inflammation,
- difficulty moving,
- chapped or painful lips,
- pain or tenderness of the eyes,
- muscle pain or stiffness,
- bloody cough,
- loose fingernails,
- change in hearing,
- pain in the ribs, arms, or legs,
- pain around the eyes and cheekbones,
- cold sores around the lips, nose, eyes, or genitals,
- pinpoint red spots on the skin,
- white spots on the lips or in the mouth,
- stuffy or runny nose,
- severe acne on the chest or trunk,
- discharge from the eyes,
- excessive tearing from the eye,
- fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat,
- fractures,
- wounds that are slow to heal,
- swollen joints,
- swollen or painful lymph glands in the neck, armpit, or groin,
- weight gain or loss,
- mood swings, and
- watery or bloody diarrhea
