Sotret (isotretinoin capsules)

Sotret (isotretinoin) is a form of Vitamin A used to treat severe nodular acne that has not responded to other treatments, including antibiotics. Sotret is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• dizziness,
• itching,
• nervousness,
• drowsiness,
• rash,
• upset stomach, or
• nosebleeds,
• 
  joint pain,
  
• 
  back pain,
  
• dryness of the lips, mouth, nose, or skin,
• cracking or
  peeling skin,
  
• changes in your fingernails or toenails,
• swelling of the eyelids or lips,
• crusty skin,
• thinning hair.
