Isopto Carpine (pilocarpine)

Isopto Carpine (pilocarpine hydrochloride) Ophthalmic Solution is a cholinergic agonist used alone or with other medications to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma or other eye diseases (e.g., ocular hypertension). Isopto Carpine may also be used during certain eye surgeries and to reverse the effects of drugs used to enlarge the pupil (e.g., during an eye exam).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• headache, or
• temporary blurred vision,
• temporary irritation/burning/stinging of the eye,
• poor vision in dim light,
• brow ache.
