Oxilan (ioxilan)

Oxilan (ioxilan injection) is a diagnostic radiopaque media used for cerebral arteriography, coronary arteriography and left ventriculography, visceral angiography, aortography, peripheral arteriography, excretory urography, and contrast enhanced computed tomographic (CECT) imaging of the head and body.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• dizziness,
• itching
• rash, and
• slow or irregular heart rate,
• high or low blood pressure,

The following drugs are related to Oxilan, either as a replacement or used together:

• Liquid E-Z-PAQUE (barium sulfate oral solution)
• E-Z-HD (barium sulfate oral suspension)
• Readi-Cat 2 (barium sulfate suspension)
