Optiray Injection (ioversol injection)
type of Iodinated Contrast Media
Optiray (ioversol) is a radiopaque contrast agent that contains iodine, a substance that absorbs x-rays, and is used to help diagnose certain disorders of the heart.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- skin rash,
- lightheadedness,
- pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
- muscle aches,
- flu-like symptoms,
- weakness,
- chest pain or pressure,
- sore throat,
- skin pain,
- little or no urination,
- unexplained muscle pain,
- swelling in your feet or ankles,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- burning in your eyes,
- severe weakness,
- unusual bruising,
- shortness of breath
- red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling,
- tenderness,
- problems with vision or speech,
- tiredness, and
- slow heartbeats,
- yellowing in of your skin or eyes (jaundice),
- pain, bleeding, or skin changes where the injection was given,
