Invirase (saquinavir mesylate)

Invirase (saquinavir mesylate) is a type of antiviral medication called a protease inhibitor used to treat HIV, which causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is not a cure for HIV or AIDS.
The drug is often used to treat HIV .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- dark urine,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- night sweats,
- shortness of breath,
- weight loss,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- fluttering in your chest,
- dry mouth,
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- cough,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- fruity breath odor,
- menstrual changes, and
- fast or pounding heartbeats,
- sudden dizziness,
- cold sores,
- trouble speaking or swallowing,
- problems with balance or eye movement,
- swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid),
- impotence
- prickly feeling,
