Intron A - Rebetol (ribavirin, interferon alfa-2b, recombinant)

Rebetol (ribavirin) is an antiviral drug used in combination with Intron A (interferon alfa-2b, recombinant) Injection for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C in patients with compensated liver disease previously untreated with alpha interferon or who have relapsed following alpha interferon therapy.

The drug is often used to treat Hepatitis C , Liver disease .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• headache
• nausea
• fever
• vomiting
• fatigue
• loss of appetite
• irritability
• muscle pain
• weakness
• injection site reactions such as inflammation and redness
• shaking (rigors)
• anxiety emotional instability, and
