Rebif (interferon beta-1a)

Rebif (interferon beta-1a) Injection is made from human proteins and is used to treat relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS). Rebif will not cure MS; it will only decrease the frequency of relapse symptoms.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- clay-colored stools,
- nervousness,
- sweating,
- sore throat,
- burning eyes,
- skin pain,
- red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling,
- muscle weakness,
- trouble sleeping,
- irritableness,
- pounding heartbeats,
- depression,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- hunger,
- dry skin,
- easy bruising or bleeding,
- unusual changes in mood or behavior,
- severe skin reaction,
- yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice),
- cough with mucus,
- bloody diarrhea,
- mood swings,
- weight changes,
- menstrual changes,
- thoughts about suicide,
- pain, swelling, bruising, redness, oozing, or skin changes where the injection was given,
- hopelessness,
- anxiousness,
- thinning hair,
- puffiness in your face, and
- sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures
