Soliqua Injection (insulin glargine and lixisenatide)
type of Antidiabetics, Long-Acting Insulins, Antidiabetics, Glucagon-like Peptide-1 Agonists
Soliqua 100/33 (insulin glargine and lixisenatide injection) is a combination of a long-acting human insulin analog with a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus inadequately controlled on basal insulin (less than 60 units daily) or lixisenatide.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
- rash,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- dizziness,
- blurred vision,
- weakness, and
- constipation,
- dry mouth,
- headache,
- fatigue,
- sweating,
- cough,
- noisy breathing,
- tightness in the chest,
- agitation,
- little or no urination,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- fruit-like breath odor,
- irregular heartbeat,
- loss of consciousness,
- rapid weight gain,
- hostility,
- slurred speech,
- irritability,
- trouble breathing,
- nightmares,
- indigestion,
- unexplained weight loss,
- difficulty swallowing,
- cold sweats,
- bloating,
- convulsions,
- coma,
- muscle twitching,
- cool or pale skin,
- flushed, dry skin,
- muscle pain or cramps,
- increased hunger,
- fast or weak heartbeat,
- clammy skin,
- abdominal or stomach pain,
- numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, or lips,
- abdominal pain radiating to the back,
- swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue,
- stupor,
