Xultophy Injection (insulin degludec and liraglutide)

Xultophy 100/3.6 (insulin degludec and liraglutide injection) is a combination of a long-acting human insulin analog and a glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus inadequately controlled on basal insulin (less than 50 units daily) or liraglutide (less than or equal to 1.8 mg daily).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- fever,
- shortness of breath,
- chills,
- clay-colored stools,
- constipation,
- fatigue,
- yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
- heart palpitations,
- difficulty sleeping,
- severe stomach pain with or without vomiting,
- puffiness around the eyes,
- dry or itching skin,
- muscle weakness or spasm,
- tingling or numbness,
- rapid or irregular heartbeat, and
- swelling in the legs or ankles
