Tegsedi (inotersen injection)
type of Rheumatologics Antisense Oligonucleotides
Tegsedi (inotersen) is a transthyretin-directed antisense oligonucleotide indicated for treatment of the polyneuropathy of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis in adults.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- easy bruising,
- shortness of breath,
- weight loss,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- chest pain,
- severe headache,
- back pain,
- flu-like symptoms,
- muscle weakness,
- swelling in your hands or feet,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- slurred speech,
- problems with vision or balance,
- coughing up blood,
- vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
- puffy eyes,
- drooping eyelids,
- neck stiffness,
- purple or red spots under your skin,
- pink or brown urine,
- black or bloody stools,
- heavy menstrual bleeding,
- muscle or joint pain, and
- unusual bleeding (nose, gums, or a cut),
- bleeding in the whites of your eyes,
- stomach pain (upper stomach right side),
- warmth or chills,
- redness on the palms of hands,
- uncontrolled muscle movements
