Infergen (interferon alfacon-1)

Infergen (interferon alfacon-1) is a synthetic type-I interferon made from human proteins and is used to treat chronic hepatitis C.

The drug is often used to treat Hepatitis C .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• headache
• nausea
• diarrhea
• stomach pain
• tiredness
• irritability
• anxiety
• back pain
• mood changes
• nervousness
• joint or muscle pain
• numbness/tingling/pain in hands or feet
• weight loss, or
• thinning hair
