Indocin SR (indomethacin) extended-release capsules is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis including acute flares of chronic disease, moderate to severe ankylosing spondylitis, moderate to severe osteoarthritis, and acute painful shoulder (bursitis and/or tendinitis).

The drug is often used to treat Ankylosing spondylitis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• headache
• nausea
• vomiting
• dizziness
• constipation
• abdominal pain
• depression
• indigestion
• drowsiness
• heartburn
• fatigue, and 
• vertigo
• ringing in the ears
