Privigen Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), 10% Liquid is a sterilized solution made from human plasma that contains the antibodies to help your body protect itself against infection from various diseases used to treat patients with primary immunodeficiency (PI) associated with defects in humoral immunity. Privigen is also used to treat patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) to rapidly raise platelet counts to prevent bleeding.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • chills,
  • chest pain,
  • pounding in your neck or ears,
  • rapid heart rate,
  • swelling,
  • headache,
  • weakness,
  • increased thirst,
  • dark colored urine,
  • rapid weight gain,
  • eye pain,
  • chest tightness,
  • pale or yellowed skin,
  • neck stiffness,
  • increased sensitivity to light,
  • severe dizziness,
  • heavy sweating,
  • feeling hot,
  • inability to urinate,
  • warmth or redness in your face,
  • blue colored lips, fingers, or toes,
  • fever with a severe headache,
  • chest pain with deep breathing,
  • numbness or weakness on one side of the body, and
  • hot or dry skin,
  • swelling, warmth, or discoloration in an arm or leg
