Recarbrio (imipenem, cilastatin, and relebactam for injection)

Recarbrio (imipenem, cilastatin, and relebactam) is a combination of a penem antibacterial, a renal dehydropeptidase inhibitor, and a beta¬ lactamase inhibitor, indicated in patients 18 years of age and older who have limited or no alternative treatment options, for the treatment of the following infections caused by susceptible gram-negative bacteria: complicated urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis (cUTI) and complicated intra-abdominal infections (cIAI).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• seizure,
• tremors,
• severe stomach pain, and
• diarrhea that is watery or bloody (even if it occurs months after your last dose)

• Bactrim (trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole)
• Rocephin (ceftriaxone)
• Keflex (cephalexin)
• Cipro (ciprofloxacin)
• Monurol (fosfomycin)
• Levaquin (levofloxacin)
• Macrobid (nitrofurantoin)
• Macrodantin (nitrofurantoin macrocystals capsule)
• Septra (trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole)
