Praxbind (idarucizumab for injection)

Praxbind (idarucizumab) is a humanized monoclonal antibody fragment (Fab) indicated in patients treated with Pradaxa when reversal of the anticoagulant effects of dabigatran is needed: for emergency surgery/urgent procedures, or in life-threatening or uncontrolled bleeding.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • itching,
  • chest pain,
  • any bleeding that will not stop, and
  • hives, 
  • difficulty breathing, 
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, 
  • wheezing, 
  • coughing up blood, 
  • pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in one or both legs
  • sudden numbness, 
  • weakness (especially in one side of the body), 
  • problems with vision or speech,
