Locoid Solution (hydrocortisone butyrate solution)

Locoid (hydrocortisone butyrate 0.1%) Cream, Ointment, & Solution is a corticosteroid used to reduce the swelling, itching, and redness caused by a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Locoid topical solution is used to treat severe dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis). Locoid is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• burning,
• itching,
• irritation,
• dryness,
• redness, or
• stinging,
• peeling at the application site when Locoid is first applied to the skin.

• Texacort (dexamethasone tablets)
