Proctofoam HC (hydrocortisone and pramoxine)

Proctofoam HC (hydrocortisone acetate and pramoxine hydrochloride) Aerosol, Foam is a combination of a steroid and an anesthetic used to treat pain, itching, or inflammation of the skin caused by a number of conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, psoriasis, insect bites, and minor burns or scrapes. Proctofoam HC is also used on the rectal area to treat itching and inflammation caused by hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or other rectal irritation.

The drug is often used to treat Psoriasis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• stretch marks
• acne,
• thinning of your skin,
• application site reactions (redness, burning, itching, dryness, or peeling),
• changes in the color of treated skin,
• blistering skin, or

• Pramosone (hydrocortisone acetate 1% pramoxine hydrochloride 1% cream)
