Pramosone (hydrocortisone acetate 1% pramoxine hydrochloride 1% cream)

Pramosone (hydrocortisone acetate and pramoxine hydrochloride cream) is a topical cream that is a combination of a corticosteroid and a topical anesthetic used to relieve inflammatory and itching manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions. 

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • burning,
  • itching,
  • acne,
  • skin irritation,
  • allergic contact dermatitis,
  • secondary infection,
  • stretch marks, and
  • skin dryness,
  • skin thinning,
  • infected hair follicles,
  • loss of skin pigmentation,
  • skin breakdown,
  • sores around the mouth,
  • excessive hair growth on the body, 
  • sweat rash.
The following drugs are related to Pramosone, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Analpram HC (hydrocortisone acetate 2.5% pramoxine hcl 1%)
  • Epifoam (pramoxine hydrochloride and hydrocortisone acetate aerosol foam)
  • Proctofoam HC (hydrocortisone and pramoxine)
