Heparin Sodium (heparin sodium injection preservative free) Injection is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to treat and prevent blood clots, pulmonary embolism, peripheral arterial embolism, clotting disorders, and to prevent clotting during surgery. Heparin Sodium Injection is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- injection site reactions (mild pain, redness, or irritation)
- itching and burning of the feet
