HemaCord (human cord blood hematopoietic progenitor cell injection) is an allogeneic cord blood hematopoietic progenitor cell therapy indicated for use in unrelated donor hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation procedures in conjunction with an appropriate preparative regimen for hematopoietic and immunologic reconstitution in patients with disorders affecting the hematopoietic system that are inherited, acquired, or result from myeloablative treatment.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
- shortness of breath,
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- fatigue,
- itching,
- overactive reflexes,
- fever,
- low blood pressure,
- pale skin,
- tiredness,
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- wheezing,
- confusion,
- fainting,
- abdominal pain,
- cardiac arrest,
- severe dizziness,
- muscle spasms,
- rapid or shallow breathing,
- personality changes,
- problems with coordination,
- pain and tightness in the chest,
- coughing,
- lightheadedness,
- slow, fast, or irregular heartbeat,
- dark colored urine,
- clay-colored stools,
- little or no urine,
- swelling or fluid retention,
- altered level of consciousness,
- forgetfulness,
- inability to speak or understand what is said to you,
- flapping hand tremor,
- rapid involuntary eye movement,
- seizures with no outward symptoms,
- loss of consciousness,
- seizure
