Vyondys 53 (golodirsen injection)

Vyondys 53 (golodirsen) is an antisense oligonucleotide indicated for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in patients who have a confirmed mutation of the DMD gene that is amenable to exon 53 skipping.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • itching,
  • rash,
  • blistering or peeling of the skin,
  • pink, brown, or red urine,
  • foamy urine, and
  • swelling in your face, hands, feet, or stomach
The following drugs are related to Vyondys 53, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Exondys 51 (eteplirsen injection)
  • Prednisone (prednisone tablets, usp)
  • Rayos (prednisone delayed-release tablets)
