Vyondys 53 (golodirsen injection)

Vyondys 53 (golodirsen) is an antisense oligonucleotide indicated for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in patients who have a confirmed mutation of the DMD gene that is amenable to exon 53 skipping.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- itching,
- rash,
- blistering or peeling of the skin,
- pink, brown, or red urine,
- foamy urine, and
- swelling in your face, hands, feet, or stomach
The following drugs are related to Vyondys 53, either as a replacement or used together:
- Exondys 51 (eteplirsen injection)
- Prednisone (prednisone tablets, usp)
- Rayos (prednisone delayed-release tablets)
