Gohibic (vilobelimab injection)

Gohibic (vilobelimab) is a monoclonal antibody that has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the treatment of coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) in hospitalized adults when initiated within 48 hours of receiving invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV), or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• urinary tract infection (UTI),
• pneumonia,
• high blood pressure (hypertension),
• rash.
• constipation, and
• respiratory tract infection,
• low platelets (thrombocytopenia),
• blood clot in the lung (pulmonary embolism),
• low blood oxygen (hypoxia),
• life-threatening extreme reaction to infection (sepsis),
• delirium,
• pneumothorax,
• deep vein thrombosis (DVT),
• herpes simplex,
• enterococcal infection,
• bronchopulmonary aspergillosis,
• increased liver enzymes,
• pneumomediastinum,
• supraventricular tachycardia,
