Ravicti (glycerol phenylbutyrate oral liquid)

Ravicti is a prescription medicine used in adults and children 2 years of age and older for long-term management of high blood levels of ammonia caused by a condition called a urea cycle disorder (UCD).

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • diarrhea
  • headache,
  • passing gas, and
The following drugs are related to Ravicti, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Buphenyl (sodium phenylbutyrate tablets)
  • Olpruva (sodium phenylbutyrate oral suspension)
  • Pheburane (sodium phenylbutyrate oral pellets)
