Metaglip (glipizide and metformin)
type of Antidiabetics, Sulfonylureas/Biguanides
Metaglip (glipizide and metformin HCl) is a combination of two oral diabetes medicines for people with type 2 diabetes who do not use daily insulin injections. Metaglip is not for treating type 1 diabetes. The brand name Metaglip is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
The drug is often used to treat Diabetes , Type 2 diabetes .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- dark urine,
- fever,
- confusion,
- dizziness,
- blurred vision,
- headache,
- fainting,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- flushing,
- drowsiness,
- severe stomach pain,
- shaking,
- persistent sore throat,
- yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
- cold sweat,
- fruity breath odor
- hunger,
- fast heartbeat,
- persistent nausea,
- rapid breathing, and
- easy bleeding or bruising,
- tingling of the hands or feet,
