Geodon (ziprasidone)

type of Antipsychotics, Second Generation

Geodon (ziprasidone HCl and ziprasidone mesylate) is an atypical antipsychotic used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and acute manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar disorder. Geodon also can be used as maintenance treatment of bipolar disorder when added to lithium or valproate.

The drug is often used to treat Bipolar disorder , Schizophrenia .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• fever,
• shortness of breath,
• fluttering in your chest,
• dry mouth,
• sweating,
• cough,
• sore throat,
• increased thirst,
• fruity breath odor,
• mouth sores,
• high fever,
• trouble breathing,
• fast or pounding heartbeats,
