GaviLyte-G (polyethylene glycol & electrolytes)

type of Laxatives, Osmotic, Bowel Preps

GaviLyte-G (PEG-3350, sodium sulfate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and potassium chloride) is a combination of an osmotic laxative and electrolytes indicated for bowel cleansing prior to colonoscopy and barium enema X-ray examination.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• chest pain,
• fainting,
• fast or irregular heartbeat,
• seizures,
• severe dizziness
• rectal bleeding,
• sudden shortness of breath,
• bloody stools,
• vomiting blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
• severe of persistent stomach pain,
• little or no urine, and

• Dulcolax (bisacodyl suppositories)
• CoLyte (polyethylene glycol and electrolytes solution)

• GaviLyte-H Tablets and Oral Solution (peg-3350, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and potassium chloride)
• GaviLyte-N (peg-3350 and electrolytes)
• GoLytely (polyethylene glycol 3350 and electrolytes oral solution)
• NuLytely (polyethylene glycol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and potassium chloride for oral solution)
• OsmoPrep (sodium phosphate monobasic monohydrate and sodium phosphate dibasic anhydrous)
• Suflave (polyethylene glycol 3350, sodium sulfate, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate, and sodium chloride)
• Sutab (sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, and potassium chloride tablets)
