Omniscan (gadodiamide)

Omniscan (gadodiamide) injection is a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent that helps doctors see images of the brain, spine, chest, stomach, hip area, and other parts of the body.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• shortness of breath,
• tiredness,
• little or no urination,
• muscle weakness,
• swelling in your feet or ankles,
• chest pain or pressure, and
• difficulty moving,
• burning, itching, swelling, scaling, tightening, or hardening of your skin,
• joint pain and stiffness,
• bone pain in your ribs or hips,
• redness of the skin or dark discolorations,
• pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder
