Neurontin (gabapentin)

Neurontin (gabapentin) is an anti-epileptic medication used to treat seizures. Neurontin is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat seizures caused by epilepsy in adults and children who are at least 12 years old. Neurontin is also used to treat nerve pain caused by shingles (herpes zoster).

The drug is often used to treat Epilepsy , Shingles .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• trouble breathing
• chest pain
• increased seizures
• little or no urination
• swelling in your feet or ankles
• upper stomach pain
• painful or difficulty urination
• severe weakness or tiredness
• problems with balance or muscle movement
• new or worsening cough with fever
• severe tingling or numbness
• rapid eye movement
