Fycompa (perampanel) is a non-competitive AMPA receptor antagonist, which belongs to a new class of drugs to treat drug-resistant partial-onset seizures in patients with epilepsy ages 12 years and older.
The drug is often used to treat Epilepsy .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- skin rash,
- lightheadedness,
- muscle aches,
- agitation,
- restlessness,
- confusion, and
- anxiety,
- panic attacks,
- trouble sleeping,
- irritableness,
- hostility,
- mood or behavior changes,
- fear,
- spinning sensation,
- memory problems,
- severe weakness,
- unusual bruising,
- yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice),
- hallucinations
- trouble walking,
- severe dizziness,
- loss of balance or coordination,
- feeling very weak or tired,
- thoughts about suicide,
- hyperactive (mentally or physically),
- aggressiveness,
- an accidental fall,
