Luvox CR (fluvoxamine maleate) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant used to treat social anxiety disorder (social phobia), or obsessive-compulsive disorders involving recurring thoughts or actions.

This drug may have the following side effects:

  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • fever,
  • skin rash,
  • easy bruising,
  • unusual bleeding,
  • lightheadedness,
  • confusion,
  • seizure,
  • blurred vision,

  • joint pain,
  • headache,
  • sweating,
  • agitation,
  • restlessness,
  • shivering,
  • vomiting, and
  • anxiety,
  • panic attacks,
  • trouble sleeping,
  • irritableness,
  • hostility,
  • aggression,
  • increased depression,
  • thoughts of self-harm,
  • very stiff (rigid) muscles,
  • high fever,
  • fast or uneven heartbeats,
  • mood or behavior changes,
  • sleep problems (insomnia),
  • hallucinations,
  • twitching,
  • fast heart rate,
  • tremors,
  • memory problems,
  • eye pain or swelling,
  • severe weakness,
  • tunnel vision,
  • seeing halos around lights,
  • loss of coordination,
  • feeling unsteady,
  • risk-taking behavior,
  • muscle stiffness,
  • blisters,
  • changes in weight or appetite,
  • racing thoughts,

  • hyperactivity (mental or physically),
