Fluorouracil Injection (fluorouracil)

Fluorouracil Injection is an antineoplastic (anticancer) antimetabolite is effective in the palliative management of carcinoma (cancer) of the colon, rectum, breast, stomach and pancreas. Fluorouracil injection is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• sore throat,
• loss of appetite,
• skin rash.
• hair loss, and
• mouth inflammation and sores,
• inflammation of the esophagus,
• low white blood cell counts (leukopenia),
