Iluvien (fluocinolone acetonide intravitreal implant)

Iluvien (fluocinolone acetonide) Intravitreal Implant is a corticosteroid used to treat diabetic macular edema in patients who have been previously treated with a course of corticosteroids and did not have a clinically significant rise in intraocular pressure.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- blurred vision,
- eye pain or swelling,
- tunnel vision,
- seeing halos around lights,
- eye redness,
- problems with peripheral (side) vision,
- bleeding, oozing, or crusting of your eyes,
- flashes of light or “floaters” in your vision, and
- cloudiness in your pupil or iris (colored part of your eyes)
