Florinef (fludrocortisone) Acetate is a steroid used to treat conditions in which the body does not produce enough of its own steroids, such as Addison's disease, and salt-losing adrenogenital syndrome. The brand name Florinef is discontinued in the U.S. Florinef is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- tiredness,
- dizziness,
- fluttering in your chest,
- blurred vision,
- constipation,
- slow wound healing,
- increased body hair,
- muscle weakness,
- mood changes,
- menstrual changes, and
- sexual changes
- rapid weight gain,
- irregular heartbeats,
- eye pain,
- bloody or tarry stools,
- coughing up blood,
- ringing in your ears,
- increased thirst or urination,
- unusual changes in mood or behavior,
- tunnel vision,
- seeing halos around lights,
- severe headaches,
- severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back,
- leg cramps,
- numbness or tingling,
- limp feeling,
- convulsions (seizures),
- pain behind your eyes,
- loss of muscle mass,
- thinning skin,
- skin discoloration,
- swelling of feet or lower legs,
- weight gain in your face and shoulders,
