Flomax (tamsulosin hydrochloride)

Flomax (tamsulosin hydrochloride) is an alpha-blocker used to treat the symptoms of a prostate gland condition called BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia). Flomax is available as a generic drug.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• diarrhea,
• lightheadedness,
• dizziness,
• blurred vision,
• back pain,
• headache,
• sleep problems (insomnia),
• runny or stuffy nose,
• sore throat, or
• decreased sex drive,
• abnormal ejaculation,
• weakness, drowsiness,

• cough.
