Flarex Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension (fluorometholone)

Flarex (fluorometholone acetate ophthalmic suspension) is a corticosteroid indicated for use in the treatment of steroid responsive inflammatory conditions of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior segment of the eye.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• eye pain,
• tunnel vision,
• seeing halos around lights,
• slow healing after your eye surgery,
• pain behind your eyes,
• sudden vision changes,
• signs of new eye infection, and
• crusting, draining or swelling of your eyes

The following drugs are related to Flarex Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension, either as a replacement or used together:

• Vistide (cidofovir)
• Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone)
• Tobradex ST (tobramycin / dexamethasone ophthalmic suspension 0.3%/0.05%)
