Filspari (sparsentan tablets)

Filspari (sparsentan) is an endothelin and angiotensin II receptor antagonist indicated to reduce proteinuria in adults with primary immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) at risk of rapid disease progression, generally a urine protein-to-creatinine ratio (UPCR) of 1.5 g/g or greater.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• loss of appetite,
• itching,
• dark urine,
• vomiting,
• fever,
• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• tiredness,
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
• dizziness,
• low blood pressure,
• fainting,
• stomach pain (upper right side),
• muscle cramps,
• trouble sleeping,
• dry skin,
• frequent urination,
• serious birth defects,
• little or no urination,  
• abnormal blood test results (increased potassium),
• unusual weight gain, and
• swelling of your ankles or legs
