Monoferric (ferric derisomaltose injection)

Monoferric (ferric derisomaltose) is an iron replacement product used to treat iron deficiency anemia in adult patients who have intolerance to oral iron or have had unsatisfactory response to oral iron, and/or who have non-hemodialysis dependent chronic kidney disease.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, and
  • dizziness
The following drugs are related to Monoferric, either as a replacement or used together:
  • BiferaRx (folic acid heme iron polypeptide iron dextran, cyanocobalamin tablets)
  • Dexferrum (iron dextran injection, usp)
  • Feraheme (ferumoxytol injection)
  • FeRiva (highly soluble oral tablets)
  • Injectafer (ferric carboxymaltose injection)
  • Triferic (ferric pyrophosphate citrate solution, for addition to bicarbonate concentrate)
  • Ferrlecit (sodium ferric gluconate)
  • Infed (iron dextran)
  • Venofer (iron sucrose injection)
