Subsys (fentanyl sublingual spray)
type of Opioid Analgesics
Subsys (fentanyl) sublingual spray is a potent opioid analgesic (pain reliever) indicated for the treatment of breakthrough cancer pain (BTCP) in opioid-tolerant adult patients who are already routinely taking other opioid pain medicines around-the-clock for cancer pain.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- severe drowsiness,
- dizziness,
- diarrhea
- sweating,
- weakness,
- agitation,
- shivering,
- slow heart rate,
- shallow breathing,
- hallucinations,
- twitching,
- unusual thoughts or behavior,
- fast heart rate,
- blue colored lips,
- muscle stiffness,
- loss of coordination, and
- slow breathing with long pauses,
- difficult to wake up,
- sighing,
- breathing that stops during sleep,
- worsening tiredness,
- extreme fear,
