NuvaRing (etonogestrel, ethinyl estradiol vaginal ring)

NuvaRing (etonogestrel and ethinyl estradiol vaginal ring) contains a combination of female hormones in a flexible contraceptive vaginal ring used to prevent pregnancy.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• upper stomach pain,
• loss of appetite,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• skin rash,
• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• body aches,
• tiredness,
• pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
• sweating,
• mood changes,
• dark urine, and
• slurred speech,
• problems with vision or balance,
• coughing up blood,
• sudden vision loss,
• sudden severe headache,
• stabbing chest pain,
• sudden fever,
• pain or warmth in one or both legs,
• yellowing of your eyes or skin (jaundice)
• thoughts of hurting yourself,
• sudden numbness or weakness (specially on one side of the body),
