Zarontin (ethosuximide)

Zarontin (ethosuximide) is an anti-epileptic medication, also called an anticonvulsant, used alone or in combination with other medications to treat absence seizures (also called "petit mal" seizures) in adults and children. Zarontin is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- headache,
- dizziness,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- loss of appetite,
- weight loss,
- tiredness,
- drowsiness,
- stomach upset,
- stomach cramps,
- swelling in your tongue or gums,
- unusual vaginal bleeding, or
- loss of balance or coordination.
