Trecator (ethionamide tablets)

Trecator (ethionamide) is an antibiotic used to treat tuberculosis (TB).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• upper stomach pain,
• dark urine,
• clay-colored stools, and
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
• lightheadedness,
• confusion,
• seizure,
• blurred vision,
• eye pain,
• unusual thoughts or behavior,
• double vision,
• numbness, tingling, or burning in your hands or feet,

The following drugs are related to Trecator, either as a replacement or used together:

• Priftin (rifapentine)
• Rifadin (rifampin)

The following supplements are related to Trecator, and may be used together with the drug:
