Estrostep 21 (norethindrone acetate-ethinyl estradiol-ferrous fumarate)

Estrostep 21 (norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol) is an oral contraceptive that contains a combination of female hormones used to prevent pregnancy. Estrostep 21 is also used to treat severe acne. Estrostep 21 may be available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- shortness of breath,
- tiredness,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
- severe headache,
- blurred vision,
- pounding in your neck or ears,
- sweating,
- weakness,
- chest pain or pressure,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- slurred speech,
- problems with vision or balance,
- coughing up blood,
- sudden vision loss,
- mood changes
- sudden severe headache,
- stabbing chest pain,
- tiredness, and
- pain or warmth in one or both legs,
- swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet,
- change in the pattern or severity of migraine headaches,
- sleep problems,
- breast lump,
