Prefest (estradiol/norgestimate) Tablets are a combination of female sex hormones used to treat symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, burning, and irritation. Prefest is also used to prevent osteoporosis. Prefest is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Osteoporosis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
- constipation,
- sweating,
- chest pain or pressure,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- muscle weakness,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- slurred speech,
- problems with vision or balance,
- coughing up blood,
- memory problems,
- sudden vision loss,
- unusual vaginal bleeding,
- sudden severe headache,
- stabbing chest pain,
- pain or warmth in one or both legs,
- unusual behavior,
- lump in your breast,
- pelvic pain,
- swelling or tenderness in your stomach,
- bone pain, and
- lack of energy
